VANCOUVER, WA

THERE'S A RAD TRAIL IN VANCOUVER, WA... PERFECT FOR THAT SUNDAY RIDE. SMOOTH AND SCENIC, AT A COUPLE OF MILES LONG, I RIDE THIS ROUTE WITH FRIENDS FOR A DECOMPRESSION FROM THE HUSTLE-N-BUSTLE OF CITY RIDING.

IT'S SMOOTH AND SEMI-FLAT WITH ROLLING HILLS THAT TRAVERSE A MEADOW IN BETWEEN THE URBAN-SCAPE OF THE 'COUV. THERE ARE PEAR TREES TO PICK FROM AND WHETHER YOU ARE CRUISING OR ALL-OUT SPRINTING, THIS TRAIL IS DEFINITELY A RECOMMENDED RIDE.

THE END OF THE TRAIL HAS AN AWESOME LOOKOUT OVER THIS LAKE, COMPLETE WITH A WATER FOUNTAIN, SEATS TO SIT AND SMOKE AND THERE'S ALWAYS A FREIGHT TRAIN DRENCHED IN GRAFFITI TO BREAK UP THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE.
RIGHT OFF OF HAZEL-DELL DRIVE THE PATH SHOOTS OFF IN TWO DIRECTIONS... ONE TAKES YOU ON A 40 MILE LOOP THROUGH PARKS AND NEIGHBORHOODS, THE OTHER ON A SECLUDED, TREE-LADEN ESCAPE. CHECK IT OUT!
